Each volume presents literature itself in successive periods of\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003eits development.\u003c\/p\u003e     \u003cp\u003eVolume VI continues the exploration of Indian Literature (Kavya) into the\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003eeleventh century, from Padmagupta and Atula to Hilhana and Manovinoda. In\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003ethe eleventh century besides what seems to be the culminating point of the\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003estorytelling tradition (Bhoja, Ksemendra, Somadeva, etc.), there are a\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003enumber of surviving long novels, bu Soddhala, Jinesvara, Dhanesvara and\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003eVardhamana. Even epics (e.g. Padmagupta's) seem to be assimilated to\u003c\/p\u003e   \u003cp\u003efiction, and that even when extracted from Tradition (Laksmidhara).
