ABOUT THE BOOK
Bhavanasara Sangraha is a profound theological and meditative manual within the Gaudiya Vaishnava tradition, meticulously compiled to guide practitioners through Manasi Seva (internal, mental service). The text serves as a condensed anthology of the eternal daily pastimes (Ashta-kaliya-lila) of Radha and Krishna in the spiritual realm of Vrindavana. It is designed specifically for advanced devotees practicing Raganuga Bhakti, providing vivid, step-by-step descriptions of the divine couple's activities across the eight periods of the day. By meditating on these verses, the practitioner aims to develop their "Bhavana" (spiritual emotion) and eventually realize their eternal identity as a servant in those celestial pastimes.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Sri Siddha Krishnadasa Babaji of Govardhan was one of the most revered and spiritually "perfected" (Siddha) saints of the 19th century in the Gaudiya lineage. He lived a life of extreme renunciation at the foot of Govardhan Hill, spending his days in constant meditation and chanting. Known for his deep realization of the "Sandarbhas" and the writings of the Six Goswamis, he compiled several works to assist devotees in their internal visualization of the divine. His contribution is considered vital for preserving the esoteric "Bhajan" techniques of the tradition, and he is often cited as a primary authority on the intricacies of the soul’s relationship with the Divine Couple.
