ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Anish Deb (22 October 1951 – 28 April 2021) was a prominent Bengali writer and academic known for his contributions to mystery, thriller and science-fiction literature.He held a B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D in Applied Physics from the University of Calcutta where he also worked as a lecturer and professor. From his teenage years he published tales in major Bengali periodicals and over the decades built up a strong reputation for smart, imaginative detective and speculative fiction. His writing often combined a firm grasp of scientific/technical detail with accessible storytelling, making the puzzles not only entertaining but intellectually satisfying.
For his contributions he was awarded the Vidyasagar Puraskar by the West Bengal Government in 2019.
