Born on May 13, 1861, in Annville, Western Pennsylvania, Boger studied pharmacy and medicine, graduating from Hahnemann Medical College. He practiced homeopathy in Parkersburg, West Virginia, and was known for his exceptional prescribing abilities, often treating patients from various parts of the US.Boger translated and condensed Boenninghausen's works, systematizing the approach into a single volume with 140 remedy profiles and a repertory.Boger's most notable work, "A Synoptic Key of Materia Medica," simplifies finding homeopathic remedies through an analytic and synoptic approach, emphasizing totality in evaluating symptoms.Boger authored several books, including "Boger's Diphtheria" and "Studies in Homoeopathic Philosophy of Healing."
