Book Description
Preface
Originally published in New York in 1951, this book began with a fascinating backstory. The author’s father, who edited the Baroda Homoeopathic Bulletin, introduced innovative Tridosha Homoeopathy concepts in his articles. These articles reached Mr. Howard Stangle in New York, who encouraged the author’s father to write a book on Ayurveda for an American audience. The result was The Science of Tridosha or The Three Cosmic Elements in Homoeopathy, which gained acclaim in Western countries. The demand for an Indian edition led to the publication of this revised edition, expanding on Tridosha analysis in Homeopathic medicines. Despite criticism from some purists, the author advocates for ongoing research and exploration in integrating Ayurveda with Homeopathy.
Introduction
Readers are introduced to the relatively obscure subject of Tridosha, expertly presented by the author, Dr. Bhattacharyya. The book is concise and deliberately excludes case histories, drawing inspiration from ancient Upanishadic methods. Dr. Bhattacharyya, a seasoned Homeopath with thirty years of practice in India, has successfully treated thousands of patients using Tridosha principles. He hopes that this theory will gain acceptance in the West and contribute to public health. The book originated from articles in the Homoeopathic Bulletin, which captured Western interest and led to its publication, fulfilling the author's wish to share this unique Ayurvedic perspective with a broader audience.
