ABOUT THE BOOK

Mahabhav Kallolini (The Surging Waves of Supreme Divine Love) is a profound masterpiece of devotional literature that explores the highest, most esoteric states of Bhakti. The word Kallolini refers to a turbulent, surging river, and the book represents the overflowing river of "Mahabhav"—the ultimate stage of divine ecstasy. In this work, Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar (Bhaiji) describes the intimate, selfless love between the soul and the Divine, modeled after the "Madhurya Rasa" (sweet devotion) of the Gopis and Shri Radha for Lord Krishna. Code 526 is a specific edition from Gita Press, designed to be accessible to seekers who wish to meditate on the emotional and spiritual depths of pure, unadulterated love for God.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Shri Hanuman Prasad Poddar (1892–1971), famously known as "Bhaiji," was not just the editor of the Kalyan magazine but a mystic who lived the truths he wrote about. While he wrote many books on ethics and duty, Mahabhav Kallolini reveals his inner heart—that of a devotee deeply immersed in the Vrindavan spirit. Bhaiji had the rare ability to translate the most complex emotional states of ancient saints into simple, heart-touching Hindi prose and poetry. He believed that while knowledge (Gyan) is the eyes, devotion (Bhakti) is the very soul of spiritual life.
