ABOUT THE BOOK
Al-Hadeeqat-un-Nadiya is a monumental commentary (Sharh) on the classical text Al-Tariqat al-Muhammadiyya by Imam Birgivi. This Urdu translation, usually published in a 4-volume set, is a comprehensive guide to Islamic Ethics (Akhlaq), Spirituality (Tasawwuf), and Internal Jurisprudence.
The book is unique because it doesn't just focus on outward rituals; it delves deep into the "diseases of the heart"—such as pride, hypocrisy, envy, and greed—and provides spiritual cures for them. Imam Birgivi wrote the original text to warn against innovations (Bid'ah) and moral decay, and Allama Abdul Ghani al-Nabulsi’s commentary expanded it into an encyclopedic work that explains how to align one's character perfectly with the Sunnah (the path of the Prophet Muhammad).
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Allama Abdul Ghani al-Nabulsi (1641–1731) was a world-renowned Syrian scholar, poet, and Sufi master. He was a polymath of his time, holding mastery over Hanafi Fiqh, Hadith, and Tafsir. He was particularly famous for his efforts to reconcile the outward legal requirements of Sharia with the inward spiritual depths of Tasawwuf. His writing style is deep yet systematic, making him one of the most respected authorities in the Ottoman-era Islamic world.
