ABOUT THE BOOK
Ayurvedic Garbha Sanskar is a seminal work by the late Dr. Shree Balaji Tambe, focusing on the ancient science of nurturing a child within the womb. The term Garbha Sanskar literally translates to "educating the fetus," and this book serves as a comprehensive guide for expectant parents to ensure the physical, mental, and spiritual well-being of their unborn child.
The book is far more than a pregnancy manual; it is a holistic lifestyle blueprint. It covers essential topics such as:
- Diet and Nutrition: Ayurvedic recipes and food habits (Ahar) tailored for each month of pregnancy.
- Yoga and Pranayama: Specific asanas and breathing techniques to ease childbirth and maintain hormonal balance.
- Music Therapy: The use of specific Ragas and Mantras to influence the fetal brain and nervous system.
- Traditional Rituals: The significance of Vedic ceremonies and positive thinking (Vichar) in shaping the child's personality.
Widely popular across the globe, the English version has made these traditional Indian practices accessible to a modern, international audience, emphasizing that a healthy pregnancy is the foundation for a healthy society.
