ABOUT THE BOOK
Beads of Sermons (originally titled Upadesh-Ratnakar) is a monumental 7-volume collection of spiritual discourses delivered by the Himalayan yogi Swami Yogeshwarananda Saraswati. This series acts as a comprehensive encyclopedia of Raja Yoga and Vedic Philosophy. Each "bead" represents a specific sermon or teaching, meticulously organized to lead a seeker from the basic moral foundations of life to the highest states of Samadhi (super-consciousness). The work is celebrated for its scientific precision and its ability to demystify the internal experiences of meditation.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Swami Yogeshwarananda (formerly Vyas Dev Ji) was a 20th-century ascetic who spent decades practicing intense austerities in the Himalayas.
The Scientific Yogi: Unlike many mystics, he approached spirituality with the rigor of a scientist, providing detailed anatomical and physiological descriptions of what happens to the body during deep yoga.
Founder of Yoga Niketan: He established ashrams in Rishikesh and Gangotri to propagate the authentic teachings of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
Visionary: He is world-renowned for his ability to explain the "Science of the Soul" (Atma Vijnana) and the "Science of Divinity" (Brahm Vijnana).
