ABOUT THE BOOK
Gitanjali (translated as Song Offerings) is a collection of 103 poems by Rabindranath Tagore, originally written in Bengali and later translated into English by the poet himself. The collection delves into themes of spirituality, devotion, and the human connection with the divine. Tagore's lyrical prose reflects a deep yearning for communion with God, portraying the divine as both immanent and transcendent. The poems explore the tension between earthly desires and spiritual aspirations, emphasizing the importance of surrender and acceptance in one's spiritual journey.
