ABOUT THE BOOK
Microvitum in a Nutshell is a groundbreaking work that introduces a revolutionary scientific and philosophical concept: Microvita. Introduced by Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar in 1986, this book challenges the traditional foundations of biology and physics, which claim that life originates from carbon-based molecules or atoms.
Sarkar posits that the true "seeds of life" are Microvita—entities that are subtler than subatomic particles like protons or electrons. They exist on the "silver line" of demarcation between matter and abstract idea. The book explains that:
- Creation of Life: Microvita are the actual carriers of life throughout the universe, moving through media like light, sound, and even ideas.
- Positive vs. Negative: Microvita can be "positive" (promoting health, creativity, and spiritual growth) or "negative" (causing disease and mental unrest).
- Bridging the Gap: The theory provides a conceptual bridge between physical science and spiritual consciousness, suggesting that as science evolves, it will eventually recognize these subtle entities.
This collection of discourses is essential for those interested in Neo-Humanism and the intersection of quantum physics and metaphysics.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar (1921–1990), known to his spiritual followers as Shrii Shrii Anandamurti, was a philosopher, social reformer, and polymath. He founded Ananda Marga (The Path of Bliss), an organization dedicated to the dual mission of self-realization and service to all.
Sarkar was a prolific thinker who developed the PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory) socio-economic model and the philosophy of Neo-Humanism, which extends love and respect beyond humans to include animals, plants, and the environment. His body of work is staggering, including over 250 books on linguistics, history, sociology, and music (composing over 5,000 songs known as Prabhat Samgiita). He is remembered as a revolutionary who sought to balance the physical needs of society with the spiritual evolution of the individual.
