ABOUT THE BOOK
Rani Tatt (meaning The Queen Element) is a revolutionary work in modern Punjabi literature by the young poet and songwriter Harmanjeet Singh. Published in 2015, the book became a massive cultural phenomenon, winning the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar in 2017.
It is a unique blend of poetry and rhythmic prose that breathes new life into the Punjabi language by reconnecting it with nature, ancient heritage, and the raw "elemental" beauty of the Punjab region.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Harmanjeet was born in the village of Khiala Kalan in Mansa, Punjab.
The "Nature Poet": He is often called a "modern-day mystic" or a "Nature Poet" (Qudrat Da Shayer).
Songwriting: Beyond Rani Tatt, he is a highly successful lyricist in the Punjabi film industry (notably for films like Angrej and Lahoriye), where he maintains the same poetic depth found in his book.
