ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Vrindavan Das Thakur was a renowned Gaudiya Vaishnava author and a prominent disciple of Lord Nityananda. He's best known for writing the "Caitanya Bhagavata," a biography of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's life and pastimes. Born in 1507 AD, likely in Mamgachi or Kumarahatta, Vrindavan Das Thakur was considered the manifest Vyasadeva of Lord Chaitanya's pastimes, just as Vyasadeva compiled Krishna's life story in the Srimad Bhagavatam. - Born to Narayani Devi, niece of Srivasa Pandit, and Vaikunthanatha Vipra, who originally came from Sylhet - Initiation: Accepted formal initiation from Lord Nityananda at 16 or 20 years old .Authored "Caitanya Bhagavata" (previously known as "Caitanya Mangala") in 1535 AD, describing Lord Chaitanya's pastimes.Considered a prominent preacher of Caitanya Mahaprabhu's doctrine and widely praised by Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Thakur and Swami Prabhupada .Disappearance day is celebrated on the Krishna Dashami of Vaishakh, likely in 1589 AD
