ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Prof. G.V. Subbaramayya (passed away May 1970) was an elite Indian educationist, poet, and professor of English who served as the Principal of the P.B.N. College at Nidubrolu. A brilliant multilingual scholar, he was deeply proficient in English, Telugu, and Sanskrit, famously translating Kalidasa’s Megha-Duta into Telugu verse and rendering Sri Ramana’s core Sanskrit text, the Ramana Gita, into English verse.
