ABOUT THE AUTHOR 

Ibn Kathir was a renowned Arab Islamic scholar, historian, and exegete who lived during the Mamluk era in Syria. Born around 1300 AD in Mijdal, a village near Busra, Syria, he was known for his exceptional memory and vast knowledge in various Islamic sciences. Ibn Kathir's full name was Abū l-Fidāʾ Ismāʿīl ibn ʿUmar ibn Kaṯīr, and he had the epithet ʿImād ad-Dīn, meaning "pillar of the faith".
