ABOUT THE BOOK
The Bhagavad Gita by Sri Swami Sivananda is considered one of the most practical and clear commentaries on this sacred scripture. Unlike purely academic translations, Sivananda’s version is written from the perspective of a realized sage for the benefit of the common person.
The book provides the original Sanskrit verses, Roman transliteration, a lucid English translation, and a detailed commentary (called "Gita Mahatmya"). Sivananda’s unique contribution is his focus on the "Yoga of Synthesis," showing how Karma (action), Bhakti (devotion), Raja (meditation), and Jnana (knowledge) are not separate paths but integrated steps toward spiritual perfection.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
